With reference to films made by Universal or Columbia and the assigned target audience (30-49 years olds), justify why you have selected your chosen studio. (50-250 words)
I have chosen Columbia Pictures for my production company, this is because they have produced more high grossing films that would appeal to my target audience, like Close Encounters and Ghostbusters, whereas Universal is more popular with younger audiences for their high grossing films, like E.T, Minions and The Secret life of pets. Also as they don’t seem to specialise in any particular genre it gives me free reign to be creative and implement my historical romance film The Truth Untold. Columbia is also part of the “Big five” in Hollywood and have produced huge movies in partnership with Sony, like the Spiderman franchises. Tom Holland plays Spiderman in the latest installation of the films, as I want him as an actor in my film it also helps as he has a prior connection to the company.
