Night Crawlers-
I like the low key lighting as it enforces the genre and the transparent editing they have used so you can see the people behind the main character. The iconography establishes the plot.
I don’t like how the reviewers are in bright colours, this deteracts attention from the main image.
I will use the same layout as the poster: I will have the reviews at the top, title in the middle and extra information, publishers etc.
I Expecting a gift-
I like the simplistic layout of the poster and the singular, central main image. I also like how the title is over the bump, giving it attention.
I don’t like the stereotypical colour scheme used as it is too simple.
I will use the idea with the title over an important
Final film idea:
iwatchyou
The film is about a girl who becomes friends with someone through social media, she tells them all her secrets and relys on them. After a while the anon starts giving her requests, ranging from selfies into something more sinister. One day she is sent a picture of a dead body signed by Anon, and she knows she is in trouble.
It is feasable as I edit blood onto the dead body, and the anonomous person can wear a mask in the poster. I have people in mind to use as characters.
The issue is social media and the issues it can result in.
My alternative audience is 16-21 year olds who like the thriller genre, and use social media. The audience may also be a niche that don’t like social media and will watch the film to affirm their ideas that social media is bad and that people are being to free and open online.
